Urban Autohaus

Bodywork & Respray

Written quote before we start, proper prep, and a professional spray booth — bodywork carried out to the same standard as a specialist body shop.

Why book with us

Bodywork & Respray with clear advice.

Urban Autohaus runs a dedicated bodywork department alongside the mechanical workshop at our West Bromwich garage. That means scratch repair, panel work, and full resprays are carried out in the same building as your MOT, service, and mechanical repairs — a genuine one-stop workshop rather than a handover to a separate bodyshop.

We have experience across a broad range of vehicles, from everyday hatchbacks to prestige models. Our bodywork customers have brought Minis, Volkswagen Golfs, Audi and Mercedes models, and Bentley Continentals through our spray booth. Whatever the vehicle, preparation and finish quality are held to the same standard throughout. Call us on 07498 392333 or book online to arrange a bodywork assessment and written quote.

Common questions

Do you give a written quote for bodywork before you start?
Yes. We inspect the damage, discuss the scope of work, and agree a clear written price before any preparation or painting begins. Nothing is done without your approval — that applies to bodywork just as it does to mechanical repairs.
Do you colour match partial resprays?
Yes. We use professional colour matching against your vehicle code to blend new paint with the surrounding panels. For single-panel repairs, we feather and blend the edges so the repair is not visible from normal viewing distance.
Can you carry out mechanical repairs alongside bodywork?
Yes. Because we have a mechanical workshop alongside the bodywork department, crash damage repairs can include both structural or panel work and any mechanical damage in one visit. This is more efficient and avoids the cost and delay of splitting a job between two garages.
Do you offer SMART repairs for small scratches and scuffs?
Yes. Small scratches, scuffs, and minor paintwork blemishes can often be repaired using SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) techniques, which are faster and less expensive than a full panel respray. We assess the damage and advise on the most cost-effective option — SMART repair or a full blend — when you bring the car in.
How long does a full panel respray take?
A single panel respray typically takes one to three days depending on the extent of prep work and drying time required. A full vehicle respray takes longer — usually five to ten days. We give you a realistic time estimate in the written quote so you can plan accordingly.
